axe rake

bull's strike
primal rage
enraging charge

16 axe

sever artery
gash
sun and moon slash
savage slash
bull's strike
primal rage

14 sword

Notes:

- 16 axe = amazing. 16 sword isn't quite as noticably impressive so I usually run 14.
- Enraging charge for a cancel stance works just like Bull's charge with Frenzy, except you can kite in your IAS.
- Switch in sprint if you want a higher overall speed around the map (useful).
- Sword has +6 dps unkitable, making it equal damage to axe.
- Snares on warrior bars are great.
- Savage slash speeds up your spike, and if you savage slash a monk while spiking it usually just dies (unlike having to time dchop).
- Sun and moon increases adrenaline gain and is unblockable, also it's good if you really need to hit someone through shield bash.

Tbh I like the sword version better, I know most people don't like sword but I think it's actually more fun and equally effective as the axe equivalent and primal rage sword has been in and out of gvg meta for about a year.

The undisputed king of AB is back with a new build that threatens to undermine the current meta. I took the time to interview terran, who graciously gave up his time, which could be better spent making more builds to talk to me.

Has anybody been getting lag in AB games? Sitting in the outpost I jump between 200/300 which is normal but then as soon a game is entered it jumps to 800/1000 and rubberbands like crazy at the worst times.

I know its not my internet for a fact, as soon as we zone back to the outpost ping returns to normal.

Never, ever had a problem in ab. Sure the ping is actually worse in there than in other formats, but that's because all sorts of random non-competitive people with shitty connections and people from all over the place join, plus I have to stand around in american districts which gives a constant organge.

Same, have not had any additional lag problems in AB.

If you have an older computer, you may be experiencing "fake latency". On my old HP (integrated graphics, DDR1 RAM, etc) the game ran at around 20 FPS in outposts on the low slider settings, and my ping was consistently 200-300. With the same internet connection now, my newish computer (homebuilt, Radeon 4890, 4GB DDR3 RAM, etc) gets 60 FPS (vsync) at highest graphics settings, and maintains a 100-200 ping. On my old machine, my ping would skyrocket whenever I was in combat with a mob or in PvP, and it seemed the ping was not accurately my ping to their servers, but the total delay including my computer's incompetence.

Could be happening to you?

I havn't changed any settings on my computer for over a year, and this is just something that has recently happened, my computer is relatively old, its 128mb graphics, 2gb ddr2 RAM, but I don't think this is the issue (as its been working fine for the past year) Also this lag only happens inside the AB battles, not in any other outposts or HA/RA/GvG matches or whatever.

Once you push past midway, it's easier than you think to reach deep territory because it was designed that way so that maps could keep rotating. Clearly that failed.

Why can't I see this topic in the AB forum? Are there secretly a ton of AB topics that I don't know about?
